Trust What Keeps You Connected
Our products prioritize reliability and size over all else. Our goal is to provide the most size-optimized, rugged products that keep you connected to your family, team, and community.
Our Radios are different because we're the only company fully machining enclosures. Matched with our custom electronics, which give ultimate performance in a package you can trust.
WHAT IS THIS?
What are our devices?
Delta Plus Proto devices are rugged, high-performance Meshtastic nodes built for reliable off-grid communication using LoRa mesh networking. They send and receive messages, relay traffic for other nodes, and allow you to communicate without cell service or internet access. Each device also talks to every other device around it—so every new unit added to your area strengthens the mesh and expands your range.
Built from CNC-machined aluminum and engineered for harsh environments, our devices offer:
-
Exceptional RF performance with external high-gain antennas
-
Long battery life, with a 2-week+ Li-ion power pack
-
Weather-resistant construction for real-world field use
-
Secure, encrypted messaging powered by Meshtastic or MeshCore
-
USB-C charging and firmware updates
-
Flexible mounting options for backpacks, vehicles, gear, or fixed installations
In short:
This is a purpose-built, ultra-rugged texting radio designed to keep you connected when traditional networks can’t. Ideal for rescue teams, off-grid explorers, rural communication, event coordination, and hobbyist mesh experimentation.
What is Lora?
LoRa (Long Range) is a wireless communication technology designed for sending small amounts of data over very long distances while using extremely low power. It works on sub-GHz radio frequencies, allowing devices to communicate even in areas where WiFi or cellular signals are weak or unavailable. LoRa is ideal for sensors, trackers, and mesh networks.
What is Meshtastic
Meshtastic is an open-source, long-range communication platform built on LoRa mesh networking. It allows people and devices to send text messages, GPS locations, and sensor data without needing cell service, WiFi, or towers. Each device automatically relays messages for others, creating a self-healing, long-distance mesh network that works in remote locations, during emergencies, or anywhere traditional communication fails.
Meshtastic is lightweight, secure, customizable, and powered by a large open-source community. It’s widely used for off-grid communication, outdoor adventures, emergency preparedness, team coordination, and hobbyist experimentation.

Why Use Meshtastic for Off-Grid Communication
When cell towers go down, coverage disappears, or you move beyond populated areas, most modern communication systems stop working. Meshtastic offers a reliable alternative—built for situations where you can’t depend on traditional networks.
Using long-range LoRa radio technology, Meshtastic devices form a self-healing mesh network. Each radio can send and relay messages for others, allowing communication to continue even when individual nodes go offline. As more devices are added, the network becomes stronger and extends farther.
In real-world conditions, direct connections typically reach 1–2 miles in wooded terrain and several miles with clear line of sight. From elevated locations, ranges of 10+ miles are common. With multiple nodes working together, the effective coverage expands well beyond what any single radio can achieve.
Because Meshtastic does not rely on cellular service, internet access, or centralized infrastructure, it continues to function during power outages, natural disasters, and remote travel. Messages are encrypted, low-power, and optimized for long-term field use.
With efficient power management, Delta Plus Proto devices can operate for up to two weeks on a single charge under typical use—making them well-suited for extended deployments, emergency kits, and long-distance trips.
Built for People Who Can’t Rely on Cell Networks
Delta Plus Proto radios are designed for users who need dependable communication when conventional systems fail, including:
Emergency & Disaster Response
During severe weather, power outages, and infrastructure failures, cellular networks are often the first systems to go offline. Meshtastic radios continue operating independently, allowing families, volunteers, and response teams to maintain contact when traditional communication channels are unavailable. With encrypted messaging and long battery life, these devices provide a dependable way to coordinate efforts and share critical information in unstable conditions.
Overlanding & Off-Road Travel
When traveling far from populated areas, communication reliability becomes a safety issue. Delta Plus Proto radios allow vehicles, base camps, and support teams to stay connected across long distances without relying on cell coverage. Whether navigating remote trails, desert routes, or mountain terrain, users can maintain situational awareness and coordination throughout their journey.
Grid-Down Backup Networks
In extended outages or emergency scenarios, communication infrastructure may remain unavailable for days or weeks. Meshtastic networks can be deployed quickly to establish decentralized messaging systems that operate without external support. This makes them ideal for emergency preparedness, community resilience, and long-term backup communication planning.
